Wanescan Secondary Breakdown Optimizer is Microtec’s proven solution for full profile wane scanning.
Wanescan recognizes all dimensional irregularities, slabs and uneven edges of lumber and returns an exact wane profile of the board. Sensors scan each board up to 2000 times per second and record position, inclination and depth of wane. Rough edges or saw step offsets are accurately identified in shape and position. Wanescan works both in a linear and transverse transport direction. Scan heads are installed above and below the conveyor belt, recording both the top and bottom surfaces of lumber.
Edging, trimming and ripping
Wanescan optimization software considers wane allowances as described by grading agencies as well as customer-specific product quality requirements. The system determines the optimal cutting pattern decision in a fraction of a second. Subsequent processes are refined and vastly accelerated by the software. This guarantees improved performance, higher production volumes, larger recoveries and increased resale value of the final products.

Shipping Policy
How long does it take to process your order? Please allow 1 – 2 business days for your order to be processed for shipping. We make every effort to fulfill orders as quickly as possible. Once your order is ready you will receive a confirmation email along with your shipping details such as your waybill number if you have chosen the delivery option. Local Pickup – You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at 92 Op de Bergen Street Fairview, Johannesburg. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1 to 2 business days. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions. Our in-store pickup hours are 08:00 – 16:00 on Mon – Fri. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.
Delivery (South Africa) – At this time we only offer delivery within South Africa. Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. If you haven’t received your order within 3 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at info@nukor.co.za with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you. You can expect your order within 2 – 5 business days.
