BoardTech 2026: Growing the Show, Connecting the Industry

More visitors, an expanding exhibitor line-up and the launch of Nukor’s new Softforming Edgebander marked another successful year for BoardTech.

BoardTech 2026 returned to Nukor’s premises in Edenvale, Johannesburg, on 17–18 September, bringing together professionals from across the cabinetry, furniture manufacturing, kitchen, joinery and interiors industries for two days of live demonstrations, new technology and valuable industry connections.

Following its inaugural event in 2025, BoardTech continued to build momentum this year, welcoming an increase in visitors and a wider range of exhibitors. The growing interest in the show reflects the value of bringing industry suppliers and customers together in one place, creating an opportunity to explore new products, compare solutions and exchange knowledge.

More Exhibitors, More to Discover

This year, we welcomed an expanded group of exhibitors, including Nukor, FIT, Roco Fittings, Freud, Kayreed Board & Timber, National Edging, Cabinet Vision by Manmade, Pearlman Veneers, Rubio Monocoat, TFC Mouldings, Soudal, Upper Edge and Tegs Timber.

From machinery and tooling to decorative boards, furniture fittings, software, veneers, adhesives and finishes, there was plenty for visitors to explore.

One of the things we love most about BoardTech is being able to bring so many different parts of the industry together. Visitors can see machinery running, explore new materials, compare products and speak directly to the people who know them best — all in one visit.

And with more exhibitors joining us this year, there was even more to see.

Catching Up with Familiar Faces and Meeting New Ones

While the machinery and products are a big part of BoardTech, the people are what really make the event.

It was great to catch up with so many of our existing customers, hear what they’ve been working on and discuss what’s happening in their businesses.

Just as exciting was meeting new faces, introducing them to our exhibitors and seeing new connections being made across the show.

For us, that’s what BoardTech is all about. It’s an opportunity to get out from behind the emails and phone calls, have proper conversations, share ideas and build relationships.

Whether someone came with a specific investment in mind or simply wanted to see what was new in the industry, we hope everyone walked away with something useful.

A Big First for Nukor — Our New Softforming Edgebander!

One of our biggest highlights this year was the official launch of Nukor’s new Softforming Edgebander

We were excited to introduce this technology to the South African market and couldn’t think of a better place to do it than at BoardTech.

Visitors had the chance to see the machine running live, ask questions and get a closer look at how softforming technology can open up new possibilities for decorative profiles and shaped edges in cabinetry, furniture and interior manufacturing.

Being able to showcase new machinery like this is exactly what we want BoardTech to offer — a place where visitors don’t just hear about new technology, but actually get to see it in action.

So, What’s Next for BoardTech?

With another successful show behind us, we’re already thinking about BoardTech 2027!

It’s encouraging to see the event gaining traction, and we’re looking forward to building on what we’ve achieved over the past two years.

Our hope is to welcome even more exhibitors, introduce more machinery and product launches, and continue growing the number of industry professionals attending.

But more than anything, we want to keep the atmosphere that makes BoardTech special — a welcoming, hands-on event where people can learn something new, catch up with familiar faces, discover new suppliers and have worthwhile conversations.

We want BoardTech to become that one event on the industry calendar you don’t want to miss, where you can get your annual dose of new products, technology, industry knowledge and inspiration.

Until Next Year

A huge thank you to all our exhibitors for the effort they put into their stands, demonstrations and displays, and to every visitor who took the time to join us.

And of course, thank you to the Nukor team and everyone behind the scenes who helped bring the event together.

We couldn’t do it without you.

BoardTech is growing, and we’re excited to see where it goes next.

BoardTech — See it. Compare it. Connect.
