Take a turn around Vollmer’s 360-degrees tour
Saw sharpening machine manufacturer Vollmer invites you to try out its web-based
360-degrees showroom. Explore and find out about sharpening
machines for rotary tools, circular saws and band saws at the click of a mouse.
The animated 360-degrees panorama features all the physically displayed machines at Vollmer’s Technology and Training Centre (TTC) in Biberach, Germany. It includes their top of the range grinding and eroding machines for carbide rotary tools, PCD-tipped (polycrystalline diamond) rotary tools, and carbide-tipped circular saws.
You can even use the “Guided Tour” button to book a personal Vollmer 360-degree tour tailored to your interests. A Vollmer expert
will guide you through the digital showroom using Microsoft Teams when the time and date is confirmed.
The company is systematically enhancing the digitalisation of its machines, automation technology, services and communication tools.
“Our 360-degree tour is more than just a creative tool for presenting our innovations in sharpening machines and services during the coronavirus pandemic. It goes beyond
this to form a central anchor for our global communication strategy,” explains Jürgen Hauger, CEO of the Vollmer Group.
“Given our international growth, we want to be more present than ever – to be on hand any time and anywhere to offer advice and information to our customers. The digital showroom gives us the perfect platform to do precisely that.”
When you click a virtual machine on the 360-degree tour, the plus button lets you view relevant detailed information, picture galleries, and videos. More links appear in a content box on the right-hand side of the screen.
As well as viewing the machines themselves, guests to the digital showroom can also see information about Vollmer services, such as the digital solutions of the V@dison initiative. The packages, divided into four areas, reduce machine downtime and facilitate predictive maintenance. The diverse range of V@dison tools and services gives tool manufacturers the best possible equipment available for their manufacturing processes.
