Universal Kitchens works with Nukor to reduce it’s waste

Universal Kitchens have been involved in the kitchen and furniture industry since 1998 and have been a part of numerous large-scale development projects such as the Espirit Estate in Bowling Ave, Sandton.
Recently they have taken on a new project of reducing their waste in a responsible manner, which brought them across our path. Nukor has always supplied high-quality European Machinery and WEIMA has always belonged to the best for Briquetting and Shredding Machinery. One WEIMA WL4 shredder now stands at Universal Kitchens massively reducing the amount of waste going to landfills.
The WL4 has proven itself to be a classic shredder for wood waste of all kinds, in this case, Universal Kitchen uses it to shred offcuts and damaged wood.
‘The WL 4-8 set themselves apart from other machines of their size and type due to their robust construction, giving them a longer life cycle. The shredded wood can be discharged into an air conveyor or onto a traditional conveyor. The profiled innovative “V” Rotor is made of solid material and mounted on stable rotor bearings. Special blade holders are welded into milled blade pockets around its circumference. The cutting knives are set into these and screwed on from the back, this ensures quick and easy blade changing’ – and makes this such a popular product of choice. The installation only took a day and now Universal Kitchens is making their mark by helping to reduce waste.
