Description
The Bruks Rotom hammer hogs have three main sections:
- machine frame
- rotor and
- bottom screen unit
- The hogs come in 8 sizes for capacities ranging from 5 to 300 cu.m./hr.
Different rotor and bottom screen units can be combined in more than one hundred different ways to obtain a perfect solution and rpm for most materials and size-reduction requirements.
Machine frames are available for horizontal and gravity feeding.
Hog design
The hog frame has a module design, and exposed sides are protected with thick, easily exchangeable wear plates. To facilitate maintenance, the hood is hydraulic and there is a rear hatch as well as hinged walls on the other two sides.
The rotor comes in two basic versions and can also be specially adapted to different applications.
The bottom screen unit is available in many different standard designs and can also be specially designed for different degrees of product fineness.
All wear parts are easily exchangeable and, in most cases, turnable.
Mode of operation
Size-reduction of material is done in three stages:
- The incoming material is processed by the rotor against an anvil bar.
- The chips and oversize produced in this first stage then are further processed in a second stage against an anvil.
- Thereafter, the material is finally reduced in a cutting and screening bottom discharge unit before being fed out onto a conveyor under the hog.
Drive
Depending on size, the machines can be equipped with a direct V-belt drive or a hydraulic coupling and a separate motor foundation.

How long does it take to process your order? Please allow 1 – 2 business days for your order to be processed for shipping. We make every effort to fulfill orders as quickly as possible. Once your order is ready you will receive a confirmation email along with your shipping details such as your waybill number if you have chosen the delivery option. Local Pickup – You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at 92 Op de Bergen Street Fairview, Johannesburg. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1 to 2 business days. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions. Our in-store pickup hours are 08:00 – 16:00 on Mon – Fri. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.
Delivery (South Africa) – At this time we only offer delivery within South Africa. Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. If you haven’t received your order within 3 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at info@nukor.co.za with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you. You can expect your order within 2 – 5 business days.
